How it happens
How a data breach becomes the call you get.
- 01 / 05
A company gets breached
A telecom, a bank, an online shop, a hospital, an airline. Different industries, the same thing: attackers get in and copy customer records.
- 02 / 05
Your details are sold online
Names, emails, phone numbers, addresses and passwords are bundled and sold, often for years after the breach.
- 03 / 05
Scammers build a file on you
They combine leaks from different companies into one profile: who you bank with, where you live, who your family is.
- 04 / 05
The scam sounds real
“Hello, this is your bank. Your account is under attack.” It works because they already know your name, your bank and your number.

A word you’ll wish someone had taught you sooner.
Olakh comes from a word that means recognition: the moment you finally see something for what it is. The fake bank call. The “new number” message. The parcel fee.
Olakh is the friend who already checked the breaches, already noticed the scam, and is now just letting you know.
“Privacy shouldn’t feel like homework.”

Olakh Circle Membership
Protect the people you love.
Scammers go after the people least likely to spot them. Your mum gets the “new number” message. Your dad gets the call from “his bank”. Your kid’s gaming account leaks, and the email behind it starts getting phishing.
With Olakh Circle, you watch up to five more email addresses. When any of them shows up in a leak, you hear about it first, and know what to tell them.
- Leak alerts for parents, partner and kids
- Know which details leaked, and what scammers can do with them
- Optional subscription; everything else in Olakh stays free

Questions
What people ask us.
Has my email been leaked? How do I check?
Add your email in the free Olakh app. Olakh checks it against more than 15 billion leaked records, shows you which leaks include it and what was exposed, and keeps watching so you hear the moment it shows up in a new data breach.
How do scammers know my name, email and phone number?
From data breaches. When a telecom, bank, shop, hospital or airline is breached, customer records are copied and sold online. Scammers combine leaks from different companies into one file on you, which is why their call or message can sound exactly like your bank.
What should I do if my email was in a data breach?
Change the password for that account and anywhere you reused it, turn on two-step sign-in, and expect messages or calls that use the leaked details. Olakh tells you exactly which steps apply to each leak.
Is Olakh free?
Yes. Leak alerts for your own email and the weekly Scam Watch are free on iPhone and Android. Olakh Circle Membership is an optional subscription that watches up to five more email addresses for your family.
Does Olakh read my emails or see my passwords?
No. Olakh checks your email address against leak databases; it does not read your inbox. You sign in with a one-time code, so there is no Olakh password to steal, and Olakh does not sell your data.
What is Olakh Scam Watch?
A free weekly round-up of the scams going round in your country, such as fake delivery fees, safe-account bank calls and fake tax refunds: what they look like, who they pretend to be and how to spot them. In the app and in your inbox.
Can I protect my parents and children from scams?
Yes. With Olakh Circle Membership you can watch up to five more email addresses, for example your parents, partner or children. Each person confirms their address with a one-time code, and you hear first when any of them shows up in a leak.
What does Olakh mean?
Olakh (ओळख) comes from a word that means recognition: the moment you see something for what it is, like the fake bank call or the “Hi Mum, new number” message.
